The Institution Formerly Known As ... (ISS or Indiviualized Skills & Services)
What about Dayhab?
That’s it. Gone with the Wind.
The healthcare landscape is ever changing, and we continue to roll with the punches like the famous world heavyweight boxing champion Muhammad Ali. As of March 1st, 2023 the day habilitation program has met its demise, thus giving rise to ISS ( Individualized Skills & Socialization). With much uncertainty in the air, the Ngozi Place team rose to the challenge, immediately working to ensure that we were on and above standard for our clients.
This change has been made to create more consistency in the providing of services to clients in the IDD community. There is now more oversight from the state agency HHS to monitor the actions of facilities and businesses who work with ISS (formerly day habilitation). This was done to ensure their is more focus on the fulfillment of client needs.
Luckily for our team, we have already provided an atmosphere where our clients can enjoy the retention of & work towards the development of new skills. Our clients are assessed, and placed into stellar groups in which they are engaged based on their specific needs. All clients are embraced to allow their gifts and talents to remain in tact!
We look forward to continued delivery of quality service to our clients through the socialization and community access they deserve! So while we say our good byes to The Institution Formerly Known as Dayhab, we lead our ship into the waters of Individualized Skills & Services!
